Our Company

Case[werks] was founded in 2001 by Reinhard Nottrodt and Matt Malaquias in Baltimore, Maryland.  The two brought decades of combined experience in design and the manufacture of archival casework to a partnership with Vitrinen- und Glasbau REIER GmBH of Lauta, Germany.  Over the last 15 years, REIER has grown into one of today's leading display case manufacturers with successful projects for cultural institutions the world over.

Through our longstanding relationship with Glasbau REIER and our other partners, our point of view is that of a manufacturer -- not a fabricator or an aggregator.  We built our reputation one project at a time and today are proud of our roster of prestigious clients, many of whom return time and time again.

Our People

Today, Case[werks]' principals, Matt Malaquias & Bill Beitel channel decades of experience working with collecting institutions to assist architects, designers, librarians and museum professionals with projects of all types.

Our Process

We feel it is important to stress our role as collaborators, contributing a wealth of know-how to reconcile complex technical requirements and display goals for our most important collections.  From our Baltimore offices and showroom, we work closely with team REIER in Lauta to expedite all matters related to the technical design, detailing and manufacturing process right on through to delivery.
